These are alternative options that I will use for the lighting in my Maya model, but I am not sure which one to use yet:
This coloured smoke idea was taken from looking at screenshots of the animated film Pocahontas

Secret Lair- Jester aspect

With this I was looking at the elements which I will use to represent the Joker, these include; the hero prop, the use of colour which I have seen in the use of medieval jester costumes and that contrast well, texture, as well as the main influence which was the lair of the DC villain The Joker. The painting at the bottom left, is painted over the Maya model of inside the structure.

19th Century Amazon

Just stumbled across this 19th Century Realism painting by François Auguste Biard, this will be a major influence to my work, as in this piece it portrays a somewhat secret Amazonian lair. Yet I will need to try to combine elements of this with elements of a jester, such as the colours used in most Jester attire.

Amazonian Jester- Research Influence Images

Influence Images 1

So For this project my focus will be on the lair of an Amazonian Jester. I've started with researching into original Medieval Jesters and what the main characters which represent this character, which will aid me with the hero prop later in the concept. As well as looking into a range of different tribes, and the colours and materials used eg: feathers, furs, straw etc.

While on Google I came across an article on the national geography website. This article was about a lost tribe originally from the Amazon Forest called the Chachapoya tribe "Cloud Warriors". So by researching into more depth I found images of the ruins, which will help greatly with the space that I will create.
