The Daydreamer- work update
This is the intro of the animation as well as a clip of the train scene, both these show how the animation will look.
As you can see, i've tried to keep the same look as my concept art.

Concept art for the Office, I was trying to create a sense of emptiness and entrapment with these large open offices with the character in the center of the frame.

Models for the street scenes, today the textures will be painted and projected on the models.

"The Daydreamer" Character: Sketches
These are some pencil and marker sketches with these I was experimenting with style and the face of the character.
This character above was the most appealing to others, so I will develop the design further.

"The Daydreamer" Animatic Parts 1- 3
Only Have the ending to finish.
"The Daydreamer" Character Sketch 3
These are some rough character sketches, I was testing out a colour palette, and character body. This isn't finalised, but I am quite fond of keeping the scruffy business man appearance.

"The Daydreamer" First set of Thumbnails
These first thumbnails are starting points of how I would like both worlds to appear in colour and style. The reality will be set in London so the colours are going to have this dullness to them and a gritty feel to it, so the dreamworld is the complete opposite. It will be vibrant in colour and have an organic, flowing feel to it. One element I liked the most was the second to last image, which truly captures a surreal appearance, in this I merged elements of the real with the dream.

Minor Project: "The Daydreamer" Sketches and Animatic
For this Animation, ideally I would like to bring my concept art to life, except I'm going for a less real approach and more towards the surreal cartoon-like style. Above is a concept for how the environment will appear at the start of the story, so I've chose to set it in London as this will allow me to collect photographs and sketches to work from. Although the scenes will change and deform during the main characters daydreams, creating a contrast between these two worlds.
At the moment i'm not sure what style I would like to create the character, so above I've produced a range of different appearances and shapes. The ones that stand out the most to me are; 1,5, 8 & 11. Below is the first part of the animatic, it shows the repetitive lifestyle of the character, but one day something strange and different happens which will eventually lead him on a different route.
