These are initial sketches of the retired superhero character. I wanted him to have an ordinary stereotypical image of a pensioner, which will hide his superhero alter ego. This will be developed more.

Secret Lair- Jester aspect

With this I was looking at the elements which I will use to represent the Joker, these include; the hero prop, the use of colour which I have seen in the use of medieval jester costumes and that contrast well, texture, as well as the main influence which was the lair of the DC villain The Joker. The painting at the bottom left, is painted over the Maya model of inside the structure.

Concept Development

This is a quick collage I created using photographs and then painting over them, the aim was to just get the right colours and how the shot will look. After it was turned into a greyscale thumbnail, with minor alterations.
