Teaser Clip for The Daydreamer
Just a quick teaser clip for the animation, as it is nearing it's completion, but the landscape reminds me of a certain film.

The Daydreamer- work update
This is the intro of the animation as well as a clip of the train scene, both these show how the animation will look.
As you can see, i've tried to keep the same look as my concept art.
As you can see, i've tried to keep the same look as my concept art.
Concept art for the Office, I was trying to create a sense of emptiness and entrapment with these large open offices with the character in the center of the frame.

Models for the street scenes, today the textures will be painted and projected on the models.

character re-texture
The textures for the character needed to be more refined, so instead of the original surface shaders that I used before, I've replaced them with lamberts so that the character can react with the lights in the scene.

Texturing Progress
This is the train set, so i've began to texture the inside and outside with lamberts, as they will have to react with a light source which shines through the windows to give a sense of movement. Although I might test it with a toon shader.

Background Character_ Daydreamer
In a lot of the paintings I have included birds in the backgrounds, so rather than just paint it I thought I would include this model with a simple flying animation. To keep the daydream appearance, I included elements of lampposts seen in London, which give another element if I used a night scene.

Environment Projection Mapping tests
These are a couple of tests of using the Projection Mapping in Maya. This will allow me to animate in a 3D environment while keeping the concept art aspect. The technique is great to use, but the only issue i'm having is that when I render the scene, it comes out warped and deformed, even though it isn't in the shot cam.
