Amazonian Jester Lair- Painting over 3D

From using a 3D model created on Maya, I have tried painting over the image. This method I found it easier to create perspective as well as giving the concept depth and realism. The next stage will be applying aspects which relate to a the Jester.

  1. Hi Sam, this is of course an excellent piece of concept art and I look forward to seeing the Jester aspects shine through! Remember to try and keep your focus on the words balanced, props will be important for giving your Jester's lair that unique edge - don't be afraid to incorporate these Jester aspects into even the environment itself as well :)

(... just a thought - this is very much the exterior of the jester's lair, right? What would this same space look like from within, with those roots creating structures inside, lights beams creating theatrical effects inside; can't help observing that it's going to be easier to evoke your character if we're inside his lair, as opposed to being on the outside looking in...)
